GUIDANCE |
【Qualification】
Open to all nationalities and academic background.
Participants must be at the age of between 16 and 35
years old as of January 1, 2001. |

【Application Procedure】
| Fill in the application form attached to
the application guidance. Along with 2 photographs (color, 4×3 cm, bust
shot / one of the two photos must be attached to the application form),
the participation fee and the proof of the birthday (e.g. copy of student
ID, driver's license, resident card, passport, etc.), send to the Festival
Bureau by registered mail with cash. Or the participation fee may be sent
by bank wire (remittance fee should be covered by the applicant) while
the other documents are delivered by mail. |

or wired. |

【Application Period】
January 6 (Saturday) through February 28 (Wednesday),
2001
The application should be received by the festival bureau
no later than February 28th. |

【Approval of Participation】
○The participation shall be deemed approved at the time
all the required documents including the application form along
with the participation fee are received by the festival
bureau. However, if the presentation of the musical score is required
after the application form is sent out, the approval
will be valid at the time the required musical score is received. |
○At the time the approval of the performance is given,
the participation pass will be issued by the festival bureau and the
notice will be given to each participant. |
○The date and time of performance shall be noticed to
each participant by the end of March past the deadline of the
application. |

【Notes】
○Participants must carry the participation pass throughout
the entire rounds including the first, second and the final, and
must be present at the time and place designated to
be noticed later. Those who do not show up on time may disqualify. |
| ○When an withdrawal becomes unavoidable, the notice
must be given to the festival bureau immediately. |
○All expenses occurred for transportation and lodging
must be born by participants. However, a part of the transportation
cost of the instruments for the participants from
overseas will be subsidized. (Up to 30,000 yen for cello and up to 50,000
yen for double bass.) |
○Upon the prior request at the time of application,
finding of a provision of the transportation means for the
instrument (double bass only), practice space and
the homestay lodging by volunteers during the contest period
can be assisted. However, the request may be declined
when there are too many requests. |
○For the non-Japanese participants with their residence
outside Japan, an official accompanist can be arranged
upon request at the time of application. |
| ○No contact to the jury members through the entire period
of contest is permitted. |
